5 AI Hacks to Boost Your Sales Productivity

Writer: Ren Saguil Ren Saguil

I hope you are well!

I caught a bug last Thursday night while networking at the Fractional meet-up and had to stay in bed all day yesterday due to a sore throat, so this edition is late.

Over the past few months, my team and I have been exploring the use of AI in our sales process and its numerous applications in sales.

I’ll be honest, AI has both impressed and scared the s**t out of me (sorry for my French). But either we run away from it or embrace it. I must admit AI has significantly boosted our productivity and effectiveness.

So, I am excited to share some of the key ways AI can revolutionise your sales process—and they’re free!

Here we go!

1.Research

Use Perplexity.ai when writing your prospect account profile.

When I started researching my target accounts, I asked these 9 questions. High-value enterprise companies are mostly publicly listed and have stockholder annual reports. Download a copy of your project’s annual report.

  • Use Perplexity.Ai to answer the nine questions based on the annual report. Witness the AI’s efficiency as it provides you with answers in less than 60 seconds, empowering you with quick and accurate information. 📹 Watch here (>2 mins).

2.Prospecting/Outreach, creating emails

  • Write customised outreach, follow-up emails, event invites and more.

  • While I strongly advise my clients and students to take time to understand and build their Ideal Client Profiles, there are situations where you need immediate help. For example, one of my clients launches different products every quarter, and we need a fast turnaround in understanding the ICP.

  • Here are prompts to help you build your campaign and outreach.

    • Reference this URL: [paste in URL]. Conduct research and determine who the ideal target audience is for our services. Format each audience in a table by their interests and preferences.

    • Create an MQL email for [company name] for each of the above target audiences. Take into account theinterests and preferences of each audience and provide us as the solution for each. Include a clear CTA in each email. Sort each email by audience. Ensure each email is succinct and benefit-driven.

3.Preparing for sales discovery calls/ meeting.

  • Brainstorm and make decisions about how to approach and manage the sales call. Use Spinach.io to organise the meeting transcript into per-action item owners.I was blown away on this one!

4.Writing proposals and reviewing RFPs

  1. Use Perplexity.Ai to read and outline long RFPs. Use the prompt below:

    • Refer to the attached RFP slide. We will respond to this RFP by highlighting key sections such as the introduction, scope of work, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and deadlines. Add any important information that I missed.

  2. Use Perplexity.Ai to write the outline of your RFP response.

    • As a follow-up to the first prompt help me write a complete and extensive proposal outline based on the attached RFP.

5.Presentation

Using Gamma.App
Using Gamma.App

Use Gamma.app for:

  • Generate ideas: No more staring at a blank screen — Gamma.app can help you brainstorm your approach to make it more engaging with your clients.

  • Write with super speed: Imagine outlining a few points and having Gamma.app flesh them out into a full-fledged article, saving you tons of typing time.

  • Research like a pro: Gamma.app could search for relevant information, stats, and examples to support your presentation message.

  • Creating high-impact presentation: Impress your clients by focusing on delivery and let the AI create a super professional, engaging sales presentation slide.

Remember

  • Read the Terms of Service: Check how the AI tool will be using your data and your own organisations policies on AI usage.

  • The Tools are Only as Good as the Person Using Them: Don’t fall into the trap of assuming AI can do all the heavy lifting. You still need your thinking and an understanding of your prospects and clients.

  • Fact-Checking is a Must: While AI might save time, always verify information before publishing it. AI makes mistakes sometimes!

  • Don’t Forget Your Own Voice: The best content has personality. Inject your unique style into everything you write, whether AI helps or not.

🤗I really have fun writing this week’s newsletter.
